Fine and funny plush animals from Virunga National Park in DR Congo. They can both be used flat as a pillow and put together with velcro so that they get up on the legs.
The plush animals are made of widows after park rangers who have been shot during service while trying to protect both animals and people in the park. The widows receive an income of US $ 100 a month to work in the sewing site and the profit from the sale goes to finance the children's schooling and both their and children's health expenses.
About 200 women have lost their men because of the armed attacks on and in the national park.
The plush animals are made of cotton fabric with the unique African print. They are safe for children.
